Keyboard shortcuts for animations

Note: You need Ultra Fractal Extended Edition to work with animations.

The following keyboard shortcuts are used in fractal windows to create and edit animations:

Windows Mac Menu command Description
F3 F3 Animation|Animate Enables or disables Animate mode.
Ctrl+Space Cmd+Space Animation|Play Starts or stops animation playback.
Shift+Ctrl+< Shift+Cmd+< Animation|Previous Key Jumps to the first key to the left of the current frame.
Shift+Ctrl+> Shift+Cmd+> Animation|Next Key Jumps to the first key to the right of the current frame.
Ctrl+< Cmd+< Animation|Previous Frame Moves to the previous frame.
Ctrl+> Cmd+> Animation|Next Frame Moves to the next frame.
Ctrl+T Cmd+T Animation|Timeline Opens the Timeline tool window. This shortcut also works in gradient editors.

The following keyboard shortcuts work in the Timeline tool window:

Windows Mac Description
Cursor up/down Cursor up/down Selects the first animated range above or below the current selection.
Cursor left/right Cursor left/right Selects the first animation key to the left or to the right of the current selection.
Ctrl+Cursor left/right Cmd+Cursor left/right Moves the current selection to the left or right.
Ins Ins Toggles Insert mode. In Insert mode, click inside the timeline view to insert a new animation key.
Del Del Deletes the current selection.
Ctrl+T Cmd+T Closes the Timeline tool window. This shortcut works as a toggle.
