Okay, I have a couple of minor suggestions for UltraFractal. These are some pretty personal choices, but I think that everyone can benefit from them.
1: Allow "Always compress parameters" as an option.
Pretty simple, instead of just having the "Compress parameter sets larger than 2 kb", I'd like an option to "Always compress parameter sets".
The reason is because it's much neater to send on Discord and other IM clients and chatrooms, as the uncompressed smaller files can take up quite a bit of screen real estate. I sometimes bulk up the set by adding a few junk layers when I have to share the parameters, just to collapse them so they can be easier to copy/paste, so not having to do that would be swell.
2: Add some undo/redo memory steps to randomly generated gradients
Some times, a fractal just doesn't want to cooperate, so I have a tendency to press ctrl+4 to chew through random gradients when I'm frustrated with the editor, and more often than not, I accidentally overshoot the perfect gradient by being a little impatient when clicking the generate button, and get even more frustrated and bitter than I was before. having some undo/redo steps (something small like 10-20 to be on the safe side) would actually be a lifesaver.
3: Make a snap-together button/key bind in the gradient editor
This one is a very personal gripe of mine, but making a colour-block gradient in the gradient editor is a major pain to do by hand.
Making a gradient like this:
can take an awful lot of time because it's super easy to overshoot/undershoot the points, leading to either blurry lines or a partially ruined gradient. If it was possible to magnet-snap and anchor the two points that were next to each other together, it would make creating complex gradients like this twenty time easier, especially if it meant you could slide the stuck-together points around together without risking messing up your hard work.
4:Add a "replace gradient" button in the gradient editor drop-down
This one is a very small, but much welcome quality of life addition. For some reason, you cannot replace a gradient trough the gradient editor, but you can if you just left-click the fractal window.
It's just a little weird that this button isn't also in the gradient menu where it belongs.
I hope these aren't too much to consider. They're relatively small changes, all things considered, but I still think they're worthy additions to an already powerful program like UltraFractal.
