PRETTY sure I have licensed UF, but can't find where my license number is. Any ideas how I can find that?
A bug in the Windows version: When a UF6 window is showing along with undocked tool windows (like Gradient and Layer Properties) and the "Show desktop" button on the taskbar is clicked, everything is minimized as expected. But switching to a different application (not UF6) will incorrectly show the undocked UF6 tool windows.
Workaround: Open a UF6 fractal window and minimize it to make the un
Hi Frederik,
I do not understand why you've removed the toolbar with all of its friendly options from UF6 for Windows. Version 5 is so user friendly yet 6 has made it tedious and time consuming having to click this or that through the menu commands to do the same things.
I am an end user that paid for and loves your software to create art for my business. I'm begging you to add it back. O

On the Hidden Dimension Galleries website there is a whole slew of challenges for UF5 that various fractal artists participated in some time ago. I was wondering if the params are available for these? There is mention that they would be displayed along with the artwork but I don't see them anywhere. While there is some outstanding work shown I am particularly interested in learning about certa

Hello! I have been inspired by Samuel Monnier's work for many years; I am ready to take a deep dive into programming in UltraFractal in order to create my own artwork.
But since I don't know what I don't know, I could use some initial pointers regarding where I should begin my journey.
So far, I understand that there are several layers, each carry some graphic 'elements'. What would those

Can someone please throw that kind of shit messages away.
Very urgent because in that way the forum becomes unreadable.

I really miss the Eyedropper button in UF6. It's a function I use frequently and I'm finding it a bit fiddly to access it via the popup right-click menu on the Gradient Editor, which seems to be the only option right now.
I would therefore like to lodge a request for this to be re-instated in UF6, if possible. Perhaps as a little eyedropper button on the Controls section of the Gradient windo

Hello all, I'm trying to get a clear/opaque background with the Bubbles trap shape but for some reason it doesn't work. I have Background Color set to zero Opacity. Other shapes work fine. Does anyone else get this same result? Thanks much. (This is referring to the kcc3.ucl folder)
Here's the same with Petals & Spheroids:
Is it possible to declare a Global Variable such that its value persists across animation frames? This is necessary when one frame of the animation is dependent on some computational state information of the previous frame, behond what is stored in the Parameters.
For example, the fractals produced in diffusion models, where the pictorial fractal is a representation of a computational state w

Has anyone started a list of coloring algorithms that will work quickly with the new deep zooming capabilities? As in what makes one compatible with the perturbation method? Currently I'm just zooming in and then trying out different ones, but thought I'd throw this out there.
Also, just looking for any general advice on using coloring algs with deep zoomed fractals (mandelbrot/julia). Orbit

I found a random bug by accident. I typed in a value too high for the image resolution, and when it tried to resize to that huge size I got an opengl error "Your hardware configuration does not meet the minimum specification needed to run the application. The application must close. Error code: 6, would you like to visit nvidia.com blah blah.
Just so you know... a place to error catch I guess

Are these color presets/classes available somewhere within the reb folder? I cannot seem to locate them no matter which formula I choose. I love all the colors available in the kcc folder and use them extensively for either inside or outside coloring. I see some different ones here that Ron Barnett is offering but I don't know how to find them. I've checked his website also, perhaps I'm missi

Hello. I have Ultra Fractal 6. The program has given me so much joy. I did short films in HD size and I did render to avi. Recently, I wanted to make a movie in size 4k. And problems began. The file renders to the end, but only 4 GB (approximately 160 frames) is saved. And he does not start from the beginning, but somewhere from the inside. Is it impossible to make a 4k movie with this program, d

Hi. Is the maximum size of resultant png still only about 2000px? I'm starting to play with fractals, and one of the advantages of this prog over others sounded to be larger size output. I'm thinking 3000x4000 not mega massive.....
At the moment I only have Evaluation mode, if that changes anything.
Ta.

My formula file om.ufm is getting quite large, 2017 kb, with a lot of formulas. I have just received a request from someone who uses the formulas for a new file. Is it possible to have an om2.ufm file, please?

Hi all,
I've been away from the forum for a while, so apologies if this has been covered already.
In UF6, when I'm rendering a job and back it up, the backup file (.urj) is HUGE compared with the same for UF5. For example, for the fractal below rendered at 4000 x 3000, when backed up at 25% complete, the UF5 .urj file is 603KB, while the UF6 .urj file is 187,612 KB.
Is this desired b

I had an error popup this morning that showed me options to close, restart or email. I tried email but I don't use a program for email so it couldn't do it. I use Gmail and would love the option to be able to copy all of the details into a document to send. Could you please add this option?
Hello
I just bought UF6 and every time I try to resize the fractal in inches the whole program locks up and eventually crashes and goes away.

Hello,
I recently purchased the UF 6 upgrade and I really like the new features. However, I am having two problems with the new version:
UF 6 causes the computer to hang for short moments while rendering a fractal (not rendering to disk). It completely freezes for a couple of seconds and I can't move the mouse or do anything, then it continues normally. I never had this problem with UF 5

Ok is there something I'm missing? Is there an easy way to set keyframes for color cycling that will keep looping forever. Currently, it seems like i have to set a key frame for rotation at 200, then keyframe it to -199, but then how do I make it just keep looping from there without having to reset with another keyframe back to 200?
Basically I miss just being able to say, rotate at this spee
Hi all,
In some coloring algorithm there is a loop, (for instance in the Gaussian integer algorithm)
loop:
iter=iter+1

I want to know when this part is executed.
Is it added at the loop of the formula, for instance Mandelbrot formula?
Thank you
Hey
I'm new with ultrafractal and I need some help. I'm trying to do a really deep zoom animation with a fractal I made. I figured its the easiest way to keyframe the "magnification" setting (to a REALLY high number). The problem is: the higher the number, the smaller the change. Concrete: The zoom starts REALLY REALLY fast and gets VERY slow at the end. I want to get a steady continuous move

I am using UF6 on a iMac with OS Yosemite.
When I open some parameters in UF6 they open with with all the layers displaced and I cant move them back into place.
some old parameterd open ok. but the gradient has changed into a kind of blue.
