On several pages of the UF6 manual (uf6-manual.pdf) near the end of the manual, there are overviews of settings to be used in de formula editor of UF. Hearby an example on page 265.
When I put the cursor of my mouse upon it to see the link and the explication of it, I see a link that probably comes from the computer of Frederik himself. Of course, I cann't read that help files and should

Hi, I'm attaching two renderings of the same location, (A) using anti-aliasing (3×3, depth 2, threshold 0.1), and (B) by simply taking a high resolution (just under 4×4 the target resolution) and downsampling the result. Variant B not only finished in less than a third the time, but also resulted in a picture with far fewer bright solitary pixels, which were the reason why I saw a str

Greetings,

For those who don't know me, I am an Ultrafractal user of its first hour. I am the mde.* among the formulas.

Just to say that my website, www.pruniermei.ca, will be closed at the beginning of december. So, if you have some links to it, you'd be better to change it. I will move what I want to keep on Blogspot at this adress: https://pruniermei.blogspot.com/, so you can make the

For those who like their gnarl the old fashioned way I've uploaded a fractal formula version of Dynamical Systems. Find it in mt.ufm. There are far fewer parameters than the coloring algorithm. For info on that see here...

I've also added four new dynamical systems functions to mt.ulb. Three

Hey every one...

I am returning to ultrafractal-ing after some 3 or 4 years. I think I still got it, Heheheh...

Just found out that v6 is out and kicking, I've downloaded and gonna check it out.

Just some quick questions:
Are the v6 parameters backward compatible with prev versions? At least to v5?

And if I open/save or edit/save a lower version parameter in v6, will it be re

I took some time to read through the interface changes in v6 and the Bugs forum category. I have extensively used UF4 and 5 previously and now I am not confident if I will comfortably be able to adjust myself to the new interface right away.

So, I was thinking to keep previous version while I learn the in's and out's of the new v6. Is it safely possible or likely to mess up both or one of the

I'm hoping to create animation that is both a function of time and space, but, can't figure out if it is possible in UF 6. As an example, let's say that I have created a single layer that contains a single Beziar curve that is colored all white. I can apply a coloring algorithm that changes as a function of time (i.e. a function of frame number). When I apply the coloring function, it applies

I don't know if this is the correct place for this but I have a question for the programmers. I took a fancy years ago to making designs in Microsoft Excel, treating the spreadsheet much like a needlepoint canvas. The whole trick lies in the ability to make rows and columns any desired width, thus creating 3-dimensional form.

I am familiar with the checkerboard pattern available in mac.ucl

Hi everyone,

I've just released Ultra Fractal 6.01, a free update for Ultra Fractal 6. It contains bug fixes and small improvements and is a recommended update for all Ultra Fractal 6 users.

Download it now: https://www.ultrafractal.com/download/

For a full list of changes, see the release notes:

Please let me know if you encounter any

Hello! I have been inspired by Samuel Monnier's work for many years; I am ready to take a deep dive into programming in UltraFractal in order to create my own artwork.

But since I don't know what I don't know, I could use some initial pointers regarding where I should begin my journey.

So far, I understand that there are several layers, each carry some graphic 'elements'. What would those

Has anyone started a list of coloring algorithms that will work quickly with the new deep zooming capabilities? As in what makes one compatible with the perturbation method? Currently I'm just zooming in and then trying out different ones, but thought I'd throw this out there.

Also, just looking for any general advice on using coloring algs with deep zoomed fractals (mandelbrot/julia). Orbit

Are these color presets/classes available somewhere within the reb folder? I cannot seem to locate them no matter which formula I choose. I love all the colors available in the kcc folder and use them extensively for either inside or outside coloring. I see some different ones here that Ron Barnett is offering but I don't know how to find them. I've checked his website also, perhaps I'm missi

Hi. Is the maximum size of resultant png still only about 2000px? I'm starting to play with fractals, and one of the advantages of this prog over others sounded to be larger size output. I'm thinking 3000x4000 not mega massive.....
At the moment I only have Evaluation mode, if that changes anything.

Hey

I'm new with ultrafractal and I need some help. I'm trying to do a really deep zoom animation with a fractal I made. I figured its the easiest way to keyframe the "magnification" setting (to a REALLY high number). The problem is: the higher the number, the smaller the change. Concrete: The zoom starts REALLY REALLY fast and gets VERY slow at the end. I want to get a steady continuous move

A favorite inside coloring I use in another program is called cos(mag). It gives nice simple stripes. Is there an equivalent in UF? I have looked high and low and cannot seem to find something similar. Would it be a function within a larger formula?
