Hi All,

Sorry but there were no parameter files on the forum during october 2019.

You can find the older collections at the cloud of Microsoft:

I was able to make input fields based on numerical values and Pull downs with Text Choices that equal values. I have a two questions.

I know ultrafractal is specialized programming language so I know it has limitations and I would like to find out if this is even doable...

If I want an input value to be text... would I be able to program it where that text gets printed on the Fractal

Hi, has anyone found a way to hook a MIDI controller into Ultra Fractal?

I'd love to set the values of some of the function parameters to knobs, maybe have the timeline on a slider.

Any ideas or experiences would be appreciated!

Has anyone tried importing UPR commands from Apophysis into Ultra Fractal? I just get dozens of error messages (see screen shot). There will be something rendered in the fractal window, but it doesn't look much like the original in Apophysis. I've updated the UPR database, but it doesn't help. I've tried exporting from both Apophysis 7X and Apophysis 2.09, with the same result.

I have a photograph that I would like to use in UF if I can change it. It has many areas that are various brightnesses of a fairly neutral gray. Is it possible to make a mask just of these gray areas?

I've tried to reproduce the image posted here but failed, even at the "Precise" setting for Perturbation: essentially, the whole center is 'missing'. While such problems can always occur, I thought I'd report this in case you want to make the algorithm a bit more robust.

I want to obtain this fractal image again.
I do it by luck with a switch on Julia classic with image plug-in.
As you see, my iteration goes like a Vortex, Im actualy lock on this one...

Do you know how can upgrade the size of iteration (aka Trap Threshold) with the Direct plug-in > Orbit Trap > Image

Hello,

I recently updated my CPU and got a Ryzen 9 3900X with 12 cores and 24 threads and that caused me to find what I think is a bug. To be clear, the program works fine, the image is rendered, so it's more of a nuisance than a real problem.

What happens, is that for images wider than 1931 pixels, certain thread counts will cause 50% of the image centered horizontally to be renderd firs

Hi, I got UF 5.4 on 5/17/2017. I upgraded to an UHD monitor 3840 x 2160 resolution about 6 months ago, and UF 5.4 is unusable because the interface does not support UHD, and the menus and fonts are too small and unreadable. Does the latest version of UF support UHD monitors?

I've been off UF for some time, and trying now to update the formula DB for UF6. I am getting a message after the download is complete that a txt file cannot be created, access denied, and when I dismiss that, the install process hangs. I have a screenshot of the message, which I attach. Any ideas? Never had anything like this happen before.

Does anyone know how to write a formula for this fractal?
I've seen it called a teardrop or mandeldrop fractal, but after much experimentation have been unable to recreate it.

There may already be a formula for this in the database, but I couldn't find one.

Switching the order of the two formulas, changing the parameters a bit, and switching to Mandelbrot mode, gives a fractal with some convergent and some divergent areas.

The second type of plug-in is “Combo.” It allows combinations such as (f1+f2)/f3 or f1(f2)). The latter means evaluate f2 to get a new value, then use that value as input to f1. The following example starts with Perlin 3D noise, followed by repeats of a Combo of Mandelbrot, Mandelbar, and Function.

The available formulas, all in jlb.ulb, are listed below. All of them have parameters that can be changed and hints that describe the options.

I have just uploaded Simple Switch Formula to jlb.ufm. By default it calls my SwitchCombo plugin in the new library, jlb.ulb. This allows generating new combinations of formulas; all of them allow switching from Mandelbrot-type mode to Julia-type mode or vice versa with the F7 key or pressing the Switch Mode icon on the toobar. Both divergent and convergent formulas, or some of each, can be used.

Hello all,

I'm finally checking out UF6, and the deep zoom is amazingly fast! I've run into a question, though. In a lot of my older fractals, I used Lyapunov coloring layers in deep(ish) zooms. When I load some of those old parameters into UF6, it looks like Lyapunov stops working at the deeper levels of magnification. I used to fix that by manually adjusting the Additional Precision. Trying to print out one of the fractals I created. What is the recommendation for printing.

I would like to print something like a 30x20 in size.

Can anyone give me some tips on what export settings and to what type of file would work best?

Thanks in advance!

Is there a practical maximum zoom magnification for the Mandelbrot formula with perturbation? UF is not optimized for deep zooms, but I'm curious.

Who's gone deep? The one I'm looking at now is E120 so far, using about 150,000 iterations, and all seems well.

(This question arose because of the video of a zoom to E2011, made using Kalles Fraktaler, https://fractalforums.org/fractal-movie-

I think it's a bug?
Why, when rendering, I write that I want for instance an 600 x 400 at 72 dpi and png, I obtain an image 600x400 but at 28 dpi?
I must resize with my favorite photopaint
What shall I have to do?
I see it is not the same with jpeg files where I obtain for the same parameters a 300 dpi picture?....
Thanks
