Rendering animations to png image sequence usually has several unfinished images. This also happens often when just editing a fractal. Refreshing zoom then gets rid of it.
Typical example included.

Hi All,

There were two fractals last month.

You can find them and the older collections at the cloud of Microsoft:

I've been having problems with what I believe are artifacts. They seem to have some connection with function settings, particularly exp, and cotan, cotanh, tan, tanh, cos, cosh, sin, sinh.

Here's an example from om.ulb, featuring a transform which maps according to various combinations of functions:

I am currently on working on creating some fractals and animating them.

I had a question... I tried doing a fractal animation and it takes about 3-4 days to render and then at the end the log says "Error Saving image (error)

Is there another log where I can figure out what the exact error was?

According to the log it took close to 60 hours to finish so I do not want to go through it

Does Ultra Fractal offer any of the lambda fractal planes, as described in this link? I am aware of the inverse fractal mapping but was wondering if any of these others are possible as well?

I stumbled upon an amazing combination of variables: the standard Pixel formula with Gradient for family Outside coloring (sam.ucl) and the Inverse fractal plane mapping. How does such a transformation take place from a bunch of squares formed by the gradient to a beautiful rounded geometric pattern? I am baffled and pleasantly surprised!

Any idea what's causing the black to appear over the fractal image? I suppose one of the variables is out of range but I happen to like the design I'm seeing on screen and don't wish to vary it too much. Thanks!

The Absolute Julia transformation is made by taking a fractal and mapping each coordinate to its square root.

I usually render to disk with a resolution far higher than that of the fractal window. Sometimes, this means that perturbation mode would probably be used for the rendering, but I have no way of setting the precision level because it's only shown when that mode is also used for the fractal window.

Hence, I'd either suggest such an option in the rendering dialog, or to make the perturbation pr

default = 100
visible = @v_SFormula < 100
endparam
If the new version of the formula has "default = 101", how do I put in the ne

I'd like to try doing a zoom into the Mandelbrot set for a talk that I'm doing in January. I know to use exponential on the magnification. Is there a rule of thumb for the spacing of key frames? Any helpful tips?

I was able to make input fields based on numerical values and Pull downs with Text Choices that equal values. I have a two questions.

I know ultrafractal is specialized programming language so I know it has limitations and I would like to find out if this is even doable...

If I want an input value to be text... would I be able to program it where that text gets printed on the Fractal

Hi, has anyone found a way to hook a MIDI controller into Ultra Fractal?

I'd love to set the values of some of the function parameters to knobs, maybe have the timeline on a slider.

Any ideas or experiences would be appreciated!

Has anyone tried importing UPR commands from Apophysis into Ultra Fractal? I just get dozens of error messages (see screen shot). There will be something rendered in the fractal window, but it doesn't look much like the original in Apophysis. I've updated the UPR database, but it doesn't help. I've tried exporting from both Apophysis 7X and Apophysis 2.09, with the same result.

I have a photograph that I would like to use in UF if I can change it. It has many areas that are various brightnesses of a fairly neutral gray. Is it possible to make a mask just of these gray areas?

I've tried to reproduce the image posted here but failed, even at the "Precise" setting for Perturbation: essentially, the whole center is 'missing'. While such problems can always occur, I thought I'd report this in case you want to make the algorithm a bit more robust.

I do it by luck with a switch on Julia classic with image plug-in.
As you see, my iteration goes like a Vortex, Im actualy lock on this one...

Do you know how can upgrade the size of iteration (aka Trap Threshold) with the Direct plug-in > Orbit Trap > Image
